Acting for Screen

Being in front of the camera can be a scary experience for some of us. These classes turn the camera into a friend by exploring the skills and joys of acting for film and TV. In a safe, fun and challenging learning environment students will gain an understanding of the important part that listening, imagination and emotional honesty have to play in creating a great screen performance. The course covers improvisation, text work and acting technique and introduces students to practical audition hints and entertainment industry information.

PASNZ's theatre youth company been created for young actors who are passionate and committed to acting for the theatre. The company environment enables youth to develop their potential through technique, creative exploration and performance seasons in our theatre at TAPAC. Actor's Warm Up

Out Loud Youth Company Artistic Director, Ros Gardner, believes that all actors need diverse and motivational ways to get into their body, voice and emotional veracity. These sessions provide the resources - an eclectic range of activities: movement, release, voice, improvisation, choreography and singing that enable each individual to fully explore and express themselves as performing artists. A co–requisite for the Out Loud Youth Company and welcome to all other actors and theatrical artists.

Theatre Performance

These classes develop the child’s confidence and imagination together with the acting skills required to perform successfully in front of an audience. Using improvisation, voice, creative movement, song, and original scripts, children gain skills and confidence to express their unique creative selves.

The Actor & The Text

The Actor & The Text is a course aimed at performers with just about any amount of experience that seeks to make the script the actor’s number one tool. Over the weeks you will take hold of and explore a range of scripts, each needing something special from you, the actor. Together we will find ways to unlock the clues and cues on the page in order to make exciting, brave and intelligent choices on the rehearsal room floor, as well as bank some skills and tricks for sight-reading, plays and auditions.
