Georgie GoaterGeorgie is an accomplished practising dancer and performer in the Auckalnd community, as well as a contemporary technique teacher. She has been teaching pre-school dance for 4 years at Nikki Marie Dance Academy, and this year has been teaching teenagers contemporary technique at the Marian McDermott School of Dance. BackLit collaborated with Pointy Dog Dance Company to create “Off the Wall” for the Flyaways project at TAPAC earlier this year. Georgie has also worked with a variety of practitioners in NZ such as Alexa Wilson, Morag Brownlie, Anna Bate, and Kristian Larsen, Sweaty Heart Productions and as a regular dancer for multimedia dance company Vospertron. In 2010 while in London she was selected to dance and perform in the Greenwich & Docklands Festival opening ceremony “Gravity!”, and on returning to NZ worked as a full time dancer on the World of Wearable Arts in Wellington. ![]() |
