Benjamin Henson

Ben Henson has been working with young people in a drama and theatre context for well over 10 years; involving participants of all ages and backgrounds through work in schools, holiday programmes and youth theatres. His programmes have ranged from weekly sessions with pre-schoolers to taking teenage performers in productions for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for nine years.

Prior to moving to New Zealand, Ben worked for 3 years with one of Britain’s largest youth theatres: The Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre, Guildford. Arriving in Auckland in late 2010, Ben quickly established his directing reputation in the 2011 Auckland Fringe Festival acclaimed version of Turn of the Screw, then went on to establish the Scratch New Writing Night. A new work, written, directed and produced by Ben will be appearing in 2012's Wellington Fringe Festival named 'Confessions.'
