ESSENTIAL THEATRE
Tutor: Ben Crowder
" I thouroughly enjoyed the theatre classes with Ben. It was always very fun and I love the amount of energy required in his classes. I learnt a lot! Great meeting and working with new people too. " Oct 2008
" We devised at least one theatre piece each week, either in groups or individually. As the weeks went on our work thouroughly improved, this was due to Bens feedback after every performance. His constant feedback is always honest and very constructive, you can tell Ben has been in the industry for a long time and is great at what he does. I feel my devising of theatre improved each week and come the end of the course I have gained skills that have made me confident I could get together a group and work on starting our own good theatre piece for show. "

- Call for Volunteers!!
Do you love working with flowers? Do you need an outlet for your sewing and design skills? Would you like to see student performances for free?
The Performing Arts School is always on the look out for volunteers to help with student productions. If you have floral arranging skills wed love to provide you with the flowers to create bouquets for presentation to our teachers on stage.
When costuming shows we need people to source fabric and costumes to design and to sew by both machine and by hand.
Ushers are also needed for theatre performances this way you get to see the show for free!
If youd like to find out more about how you can become a Performing Arts School volunteer please contact the School Director Joanne Kelly jo@pasnz.co.nz or Telephone 09 845 0290 ext 2.
