Floor work, exercises and combinations are built on each week, for students to explore their own movement style and creativity. Enjoy the exhilaration that comes from dancing through space with ease and confidence.

Theatre Dance/Jazz
tutor: Mutu Malcom

This class focuses on technique, performance skills and musicality for people with a jazz dance background. New choreography taught each week familiarises students with diverse styles, promotes self-confidence and develops skills in an encouraging environment. Warm-ups use a technical jazz and ballet format, layered with style. Combinations include repertory from shows plus original choreography.

Tap
tutor: Clayton Curnow

Tap is fun above all else. These sessions are designed for you to work on timing, suppleness of ankles, coordination and rhythm. The tradition of tap - a merging of African and Irish dance styles in America, between slaves and immigrants - gives this kind of dance an immediate performative quality not always found in other dance technical classes. Very suited for students interested in musical theatre and mixed genre performance.
